Netflix has confirmed that Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, the enhanced remake of the popular anime, will arrive for American viewers this month, giving fans a firm date to circle on their calendars. Netflix brings Dragon Ball Super: Beerus to US viewers on October 17 Netflix will add Dragon Ball Super: Beerus to its U.S. lineup on Oct. 17. Japan will get the remake first on Oct. 11, creating a six-day gap between the two releases. Netflix also marked the announcement with a fresh trailer, officially putting the streaming date in the spotlight (via Comicbook). The remake comes from Toei Animation and features Tadayoshi Yamamuro as director. Matsuto Seya handles composition and direction arrangement, while Eichi Nishimura works as editor and Yosuke Motoki serves as compositing director. Norihito Sumitomo returns to the musical side, with new theme songs also lined up for the series. Those songs include “ONOGAMI” by MEGATERA・ZERO as the opening theme and “Kan Peki No Peki” by VK Blanka for the ending. The refreshed production also promises a substantially reworked presentation of the original anime, rather than simply putting the existing episodes back on screen. Dragon Ball Super: Beerus isn’t simply dusting off old footage. Toei is rebuilding the material with reworked scenes, fresh cuts and completely re-rendered visuals, while new dubbing, music and sound effects give the production more polish. The story kicks off with Battle of Gods, then rolls into Resurrection F and the Universe 6 storyline. Fans can also catch the new version before Netflix gets it. A New York Comic Con 2026 panel will spotlight the project on Oct. 8, with Monica Rial hosting alongside Jason Douglas and Ian Sinclair, the English voices of Bulma, Beerus and Whis, respectively.
